Godox SB-NBM 140cm Octagon Extra Large Studio Softbox with GRID

Softbox is used as a light modifier for Flash / COB LED light commonly to create soft and even lighting effects to minimize harsh shadow.

It is an effective tool for controlling light spill and reducing light intensity without sacrificing softness.

They are the essential modofiers in portrait and also commercial photography in the photo studio.

Softbox is made of durable black nylon fabric cover and with silver reflective inner baffle and 2 layers of white diffuser,

Apply the honey grid to further control the light direction and aviod light spil.

Standard Bowens-S ring included.  ( Self-assembly the softbox from the package )

Note: The overall sizes 140cm are measured diagonally from tip to tip.

You may buy an optional inner ring and change the standard Bowens ring to suit Balcar, Broncolor, Elinchrom, Hensel or Profoto flash.

For quick set up and outdoor use, pls buy a umbrella softbox that can be easily folded up or closed down.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SOFTBOXES

Softboxes are used for softening and increasing the size of a smaller light source, and diffuse bare flash light sources. A softbox controls the shape and direction of light more than an umbrella and prevents more light-spill from occurring.

Softboxes are available in a variety of different shapes and sizes and can all be employed to suit the subject matter. A larger softbox will produce softer light, but will also require greater light output to sufficiently fill the entire softbox.

Aside from different sizes of softboxes, different shapes also allow one to alter the quality of light. This can be especially apparent when photographing people from closer range, since the shape of the light source used can often be seen in the reflections in their eyes (called “catch” lights). Softboxes are available in a variety of shapes such as rectangularsquareoctagonal (8 rods), round (16 rods) , parabolic or long & thin strips

Standard softboxes are designed and made for studio use with Bowens mount speedring. It is not recommended to pull apart frequently for outdoor use which may damage the stitching.
