 Product Description

Extraordinary resolving power from a beautifully versatile DSLR

Featuring Canon’s exceptional 50.6MP 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor and Dual DIG!C 6 image processor, the all new EOS 5DS is the perfect choice for professional and enthusiast photographers who value high megapixel count and outstanding resolving power. Creating stunningly detailed, crisp and clear images, this impressive Digital SLR camera utilises a 61-point high-density reticular AF, delivering high-speed continuous shooting of up to 5fps. Working together in the fight against camera shake, Canon’s newly-designed Mirror Vibration Control System and Release Time Lag Arbitrary setting helps the EOS 5DS reduce blur and further enhance image clarity. Versatile and well-balanced, this solidly-built DSLR provides an array of features to the creative photographer, including the new Fine Detail picture style, a 1.3x and 1.6x crop function, a Custom Quick Control function, and a Time Lapse Movie function that creates Full HD movies from still images on the camera.

image

Outstanding Images

  • The EOS 5Ds features an outstanding 50.6 Megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. This larger than life sensor enables incredible image quality and overwhelming resolving power as it is the highest resolution in EOS history. This means even better detail, even in low light situations and at higher ISOs, with minimal noise and distortion and breathtaking dynamic range thanks to the sensor's wide cell pitch. The Ultra-high resolution allows dramatic trimming and is capable of creating detail-rich photographic materials suitable for retouching and composite photographs.

image

Agile Performance

Never miss a moment with the Canon EOS 5DsR's high speed continuous shooting at up to 5 frames per second in RAW & JPG, even with 50.6 megapixels. The camera has an outstanding 61-point high-density reticular AF sensor (up to 41 cross-type points) along with a EOS iTR AF subject tracking with face detection enhances focus accuracy.

image

Astonishing Clarity

  • The newly developed 61 point High Density Reticular AF covers a wide area of the screen, making it easier to focus on your desired area. The additional of Large Zone AF makes different AF area selection modes available, and when these are used, the multi-point AF system can be utilised to match the qualities of the subject, such as any single point for focusing on a still subject, or a speficied zone for  subjects with intense movement.

image

Create a Balance

The camera is equipped with Canon’s newest and fastest processor, the DIGIC 6 Image Processor, which is highly advanced in image quality both in stills and video. The light sensitivity allows for high resolution with less noise when shooting in dark conditions, and Dynamic IS detects and compensates for tilt and parallel movement (shift blur) to create video that’s exceptionally free of distortion.

image

Low Light Performance

  • Capture incredibly high detail, even when there is little light with an ISO range of 100-6400 (expandable to 12800). This large ISO range enables for photographers to shoot regardless of situation, making the EOS 5DsR a camera of choice for professionals. This camera also includes gapless microlenses optimise the light-gathering efficiency to achieve high ISO speed and low noise capability.

image

Reduce Blur

The EOS 5DsR contains Canon's newly developed mechanism to control mirror with motor and cam system. Unlike a conventional spring type, this camera is equipped with a newly developed mirror control mechanism driven by motor and cams). The mechanism enables suppression of vibration that occurs during mirror motion, bringing out the full resolving power of the camera by decreasing camera-shake blur while softening the shutter-release sound.
